Care Instruction Sheet:

 Ear, Nose, and Eyebrow Piercings

Heal time: Septum or ear lobe…………. 4 to 6 weeks

Eyebrow……………………. 6 to 8 weeks

Nostril, cartilage, or tragus…. 8 to 12 weeks

Cleaning solutions: Either Bactine Liquid Drops, Sensitive Ears Solution, or H₂Ocean.

Instructions for Bactine Liquid Drops and Sensitive Ears:

1. Never touch healing piercings with dirty hands. Always wash hands with antibacterial soap before touching the piercing.
2. Twice daily, you can use a cotton swab saturated with Bactine to remove any crusty formation from the jewelry. This is a normal secretion of blood plasma, and it will pass.
3. Once the ring is completely saturated, gently rotate it back and forth though the piercing to slide the solution to the inside.
4. Always rinse completely in the shower to avoid leaving soap or shampoo residue on the jewelry. Use paper products on jewelry always.
5. Leave your jewelry in during the initial healing period listed on this sheet. Do not leave the piercing empty, as it may close.

Instructions for H₂Ocean: Spray area lightly 3-5 times daily. When able, leave on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse with clean water.

Hints/Tips: Clean your telephone regularly. Change your pillowcase weekly while the piercing is healing. All piercings secrete a white fluid that looks like puss. This is normal and varies with the individual.
